Hack for Good: Easily Donate Bounties to WHO’s COVID-19 Response Fund
The community has come together in some amazing ways to support COVID-19 relief efforts from Marc Rogers’ CTI League, the US Digital Response group helping governments, to individual hackers raising their hand to help. Today, HackerOne is making it even easier for hackers to give back through bug bounties with a custom donation profile — https://hackerone.com/hackforgood.
How to easily donate your bounties to WHO’s COVID-19 Response Fund
All charitable donations will go to The World Health Organization (WHO) COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. To donate, simply invite the hackforgood user as a collaborator on reports in any public or private HackerOne program that supports collaboration*.
1. Navigate to the report you'd like to split the bounty within your HackerOne Inbox.
2. Select Add collaborator.
3. Enter hackforgood as the username you want to collaborate with.
4.Enter the ratio in how you want to split the bounty under Bounty weight.
5. Click Invite.
Read more about bounty splitting and all the ways you can donate bounties to charity on our docs site.
*Note: If you are a participant in a program that doesn't currently support collaboration, email hackers@hackerone.com with the program name and we’ll do our best to help! If you’re an organization and are unsure if you support collaboration or want to set it up, find more information here.
Once a month, HackerOne will donate to a different charity. Currently, the charity is set for The World Health Organization COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
All charitable donations are transferred directly to the charity. If you would like itemized documentation of your donation, please email finance@hackerone.com and include your hacker handle.
So to recap: hack, collaborate, donate. Together, we can make a difference.
